The second tab of the utility allows you to add client machines that may connect to this
server. The license key obtained from Gravitybox allows a specified number of clients to
connect. You must know the maximum number of client connections when you request
you key. This information is embedded in the key. The setup utility allows you to specify
the clients that you wish to allow access to the server. All other client requests will be
rejected.
To elaborate, you write an application using the Gravitybox Schedule.NET component.
You followed the steps to make it network able and now you are ready to distribute your
application. When your application is installed on a client’s machine it will need to be
configured to connect to your Enterprise Server. Each time the schedule in your
application connects to the Enterprise Server, it sends information about the client
machine to the server. This information is used to verify that the client is authorized to
use the Enterprise Server. This is why it is important to configure the client machine
information with the license utility. In the image below, there is only one client machine
that may use Enterprise Server and its name is GRAVTOP.
